The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), who can demonstrate experience with a broad range of tools and technologies.
Requirements
Essential criteria
- Background as a senior Oracle Data Base Administrator Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with extensive knowledge of Oracle database administration, version 12c and 19c. Applicants must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 2 years focused on database migrations and cloud technologies. Oracle DBA Certification and OCI Architect Certification are highly desirable.
- Oracle Database and Cloud Infrastructure Migration Experience Demonstrated experience in migrating Oracle databases to newer versions and to cloud environments, preferably OCI.
- Cloud Proficiency Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and familiarity with cloud services, tools, and best practices.
- Technical Skills Strong understanding of database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle RAC. Experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle GoldenGate, and backup/recovery techniques.
- Problem-Solving Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex migration issues and optimize database performance.
- Communication and Collaboration Skills Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Federal Government ICT
- Oracle Database and Tools Experience • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 2 years focused on database migrations and cloud technologies. • Oracle certifications and training in Oracle technologies, cloud platforms, and data base administration are highly desirable.
- SAFe and/or Agile Experience/Exposure Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other agile methodologies is a plus. Experience or exposure to agile practices will help streamline program delivery
