Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) for a role which involves leading the migration of Oracle databases from 12c to 19c, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will contribute to efficient transitions, database optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migration Leadership: Lead seamless migration from Oracle 12c to 19c.
- OCI Uplift: Spearhead migration projects to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Database Administration: Ensure routine tasks for database integrity and security.
- Cloud Optimization: Utilize OCI features for optimal performance and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, providing guidance on Oracle technologies.
- Documentation: Document migration processes and ensure compliance with security policies.
Essential Criteria:
- Oracle DBA Background: Proven experience with at least 10 years, including 2 years focused on migrations and cloud technologies.
- Migration Experience: Success in migrating Oracle databases, preferably to OCI.
- Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with OCI and familiarity with cloud services.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle RAC.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent skills for addressing complex migration issues.
Desirable Criteria:
- Government ICT Familiarity
- Certifications: Oracle DBA and OCI Architect Certifications.
- SAFe/Agile Exposure: Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
