The Role

As a mobile community based Senior Occupational Therapist, working as part of a collaborative inter-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy throughout the South Metro regions, including Mandurah.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Assistive Technology and home modifications. This role will focus on providing supports to participants in areas such as specialised seating, pressure mapping, complex Assistive Technology prescription and complex home modifications.

Working in a true ‘Team Around the Person’ approach, you will work closely with Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Therapy Assistants, Exercise Physiologists and other OT's. We believe in working with participants and their families and support networks to build capacity, provide supports and overall help to create amazing outcomes for our participants.

Your caseload can be built around adult, paediatrics or across the lifespan, if you prefer.

As part of this role, you will have access to professional development, internal mentoring and specialised support, delivered by our highly skilled seniors, team leaders and wider leadership team!

What you will need to bring:

  • A desire to provide optimal care for your participants, using your existing skills, but more importantly by pursuing continuous professional growth and improvement

  • Completion of the NDIS Home Modifications Training – desirable but not essential!

You should have the standard qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) or approved equivalent

• Full AHPRA registration

• A valid working with children check

• A valid West Australian drivers’ licence

• A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check

• PI & PL Insurance
