Senior Payroll Officer

As a Senior Payroll officer, you will be joining a forward-thinking organisation contributing to its ongoing success and growth.DescriptionAs a Senior Payroll Officer, this stand alone role involves managing the end-to-end payroll processing with utmost accuracy and timeliness using iChris system. You will oversee all payroll accounting activities, ensuring the meticulous maintenance of financial records and performing thorough month-end reconciliations. Administering workforce management systems, particularly Human Force, will be a critical part of your responsibilities to ensure precise recording of time and attendance data. Conducting regular payroll reconciliations and swiftly resolving any discrepancies is essential. You must ensure strict compliance with Australian payroll laws and regulations and be adept at preparing necessary statutory reports. Additionally, you will be expected to identify and implement improvements to payroll systems and processes, leveraging your expertise.ProfileThe ideal candidate for the Senior Payroll Officer role will be a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in payroll operations. They should have proficiency with iChris and Human Force systems and familiarity with the retail award is advantageous. The candidate must be detail-orientated, able to meet critical deadlines, and committed to ensuring compliance and accuracy in all payroll activities.

• Mandatory: Proven experience in payroll operations for a stand-alone role.
• Preferred: Previous experience with payroll systems iChris and Human Force.
• Preferred: Familiarity with the retail award.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed critical deadlines and targets.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
