Senior Payroll Officer

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to support our centralised payroll function and perform end to end payroll processing using both Aurion and Peoplesoft.
This role is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities:
* Running end to end payroll, for 3,500+ across 6 entities
* Action payroll requests promptly and accurately such as new hires, exits and changes
* Run fortnightly payroll process, variance checks and reconciliation of EFT
* Administer setup of new superannuation funds and reconcile payments
* Reconcile payroll reports fortnightly after each payroll run and monthly
* Provide mentoring and support to the payroll team
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Proactively identify opportunities to automate, streamline and simplify payroll processes
Experience/Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Payroll, Accounting or similar is desirable
* 10+ years experience in processing complex end to end payroll
* 10+ years experience in the EOFY payroll process
* Experience in Aurion or PeopleSoft, desirable
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong problem solving and excel skills
* Strive for results and process improvement
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
