As a Senior Payroll Officer at Idemitsu Australia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely payroll processing for weekly, fortnightly and monthly paid employees. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, and working alongside a wider payroll team, your attention to detail, customer-centric attitude, and expert knowledge of payroll legislation, processes and procedures will contribute to a seamless payroll operation.
How you will contribute:
- Ownership of the end to end payroll responsibilities for a business group, across mine sites, corporate head office and expat payrolls;
- Manage employee lifecycle related to payroll data, such as new starter documentation, personal pay details, deductions, leave and terminations;
- Ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual third party payments;
- Ensure accuracy of payroll related reconciliations, such as payroll tax and STP;
- Prepare, review and distribute payroll related reports;
- Ensure compliance with industry Awards and Enterprise Agreements;
- Manage payroll inbox and related queries in an attentive and professional manner; and
- Contribute to the business culture and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
You believe in fostering a positive work culture and ongoing growth, ensuring we always put our people first. You have demonstrated experience;
- Working in a true end to end payroll environment, responsible for opening payroll, to processing bank files and third party payments;
- You have used large payroll dedicated software such as SAP, ichris or Aurion;
- You have relevant mining / resources payroll industry Award knowledge;
- You enjoy working in a team, and contributing to a collaborative culture; and
- You have strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
