About the role:
Reporting to the Manager Executive Services, the Senior People and Culture Officer is a newly created position and will be responsible for delivering, monitoring and evaluating the human resources and People and Culture practices across the Mental Health & Wellbeing Commission.

The MHWC is a core feature of the new architecture for Victoria's mental health and wellbeing system. The MHWC is an independent body to monitor and report on the performance, quality and safety of the mental health and wellbeing system; hold government to account with the ability to initiate its own inquiries into matters that support its objectives; handle and investigate complaints about mental health and wellbeing service delivery; and exemplify and enable lived experience leadership.
How you'll make a difference:
Our successful candidate will be proactive and passionate about driving best practice HR management and will demonstrate a history of managing Employee Relations matters. Supporting organisational change processes within business areas will be an advantage.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- substantial experience in end to end recrutment and workforce planning
- experience with developing and deliverying employee induction program/s,
- advise and guide managers on performance development and other HR policies and practices
- experience in managing Health, Safety and Wellbeing matters
