About the role
This new Senior Consumer Peer Worker role within the Eastern Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service / EHOPS draws on a share lived experience of mental ill-health, homelessness and recovery to support the recovery journey of consumers experiencing homelessness in achieving positive recovery outcomes.
You will have lived experience as well as demonstrated skills and values of:
- Agility and flexibility
- Compassionate with strong skills in engagement and rapport building
- Recovery oriented approach that promote consumer choice and control
- Strong advocate for a shared care approach with all supports around the consumer
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess:
- A passion for lived experience work
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Very good communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
