Personnel Security Adviser.This is a great opportunity to work in protective security at the Attorney Generals Department. We are seeking keen people who bring external ideas, diverse experiences, and are willing to explore innovative ways of working.The key duties of a
Personnel Security Adviser include:
- managing a small team responsible for the provision of the departments Personnel Security functions, including facilitating security clearances and pre-employment screening processes
- contributing towards the establishment of the departments insider threat management program
- providing advice to a broad range of stakeholders on security policies and procedures in line with the PSPF, including Senior Executives, Royal Commissions and individual line areas
- identifying and reporting on emerging security issues, incidents and trends, providing suggested solutions where applicable
- maintaining relevant security policies which take into account the needs of all employees
- advising on Personnel Security risks and documenting and communicating the outcomes to relevant stakeholders
- monitoring and reporting on the departments security performance
- preparing briefings
- developing and conducting or facilitating appropriate security awareness training programs
- establishing and maintaining Personnel Security aftercare measures.
