The RoleThe Senior Policy Advisor is responsible for coordinating and delivering policy and advocacy programs and supporting special projects related to this area. This role includes producing policy submissions and statements and coordinating program activities to scope, time, quality, and budget, as well as managing risks, issues, and program governance activities.
The role harnesses the expertise of the Digital Health community to articulate AIDH’s position on key topics. Together with other key personnel, the Senior Policy Advisor builds and maintains partnerships and coalitions with other organisations who collaborate on our endeavours.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Program and Project Coordination:
Support program management of the full project life cycle from initiation to deployment.
- Coordinate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.
- Track project performance and adhere to project scope and variations.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders by meeting expectations and objectives.
- Provide status reports on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Report on project outcomes against agreed success criteria.
Relationships, Networks and Stakeholder Engagement
Work with the Policy and Advocacy Director to build relationships, rapport, and credibility with government and key stakeholders.
- Build relationships and networks to support the delivery of AIDH programs.
- Ensure stakeholder engagement is managed professionally and collaboratively.
- Coordinate and track stakeholder engagement activities and establish stakeholder engagement and communications plans.
Policy Development and Advocacy
- Ensure AIDH's positions on key issues concerning Digital Health and known and impactful.
- Provide thought leadership and original comprehensively researched policy outputs on current and future Digital Health issues.
- Build partnerships with health industry stakeholders.
- Draft and support approval processes for submissions into consultations, inquiries and other calls for input.
