The successful applicant will provide leadership, autonomously manage an extensive work program and prepare high quality reports, briefs, submissions and correspondence for the Ministers. The successful applicant will develop and promote positive relationships with key stakeholders and support JACS Executive at high level meetings.
To be successful, the applicant will require excellent legal research and analytical skills, a detailed understanding of government processes and high order communication, stakeholder engagement, organisational and collaboration skills. An understanding of or experience working in the criminal justice system is desirable.
Eligibility/Other requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications in law or a related field is highly desirable but not essential.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the Possibility of Permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
