About the role
As a Senior Portfolio Analyst - Capital Markets, you will play a pivotal role in our internal investment management team, focusing on executing Australian Retirement Trust's investment strategy. This is a position that will see you collaborating with essential stakeholders, both within and outside the organisation. You will be instrumental in crafting and implementing innovative strategies for the Capital Markets team, ensuring that the financial outcomes achieved not only meet but exceed our members' expectations.
In this role, you will design, build, maintain, and improve fit for purpose analytical models and tools relevant to the Capital Markets team. In particular models that provide a deeper understanding of trading activities to produce insights and recommendations that shape the strategy for this function.
This role is available as a permanent opportunity and is based in our Brisbane or Sydney office.
About you
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce, or economics.
• Highly advanced research and analysis capability with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in the Investments industry for the relevant investment domain including knowledge of legislation, regulations, market trends, risk reward optimisation and emerging issues.
• Good understanding of the Australian superannuation industry.

You will be a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and a deep understanding of Capital Markets. You should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, have strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering results that align with the financial interests of our members.
