Our role:

As a Senior Presales Consultant, this role is primarily responsible for supporting the global sales team in understanding the business and technical needs of a customer and articulating and presenting our valued solutions through the close of the sales opportunity.

You'll be responsible for providing presales support for the Objective Content Solutions product range. You'll engage primarily with the customers and prospects in the Australian Capital Territory but extend to support the Australian, New Zealand and UK sales professionals.

Our Presales Consultants are vital members of the Objective sales team. They are aligned to the regional licence revenue results and work closely with other team members to share the workload across regional offices. The role requires some occasional domestic travel.

What your day will look like:

  • Engaging with prospects and customers with the Account Directors and Commercial Managers to discover their business and technical challenges and their organisation's goals and direction through a consultative process.
  • Providing presales support for the ACT Account Directors and Commercial Managers (could be in person or remote).
  • Articulate and present the proposed solution to the prospect or customer using standard presentations or customer demonstrations.
  • Preparing custom demonstrations of the solutions for deeper engagements, which includes building the presentations and configuring the software demonstrations.
  • Providing presales support for the new business account directors and existing customer commercial managers to help develop strategies and target accounts, respond to tenders, prepare proposals, build the bill of materials, and respond to customer functional questions.

What skills will you need:

  • Practical experience in supporting sales processes or successfully implementing solutions into a business for a vendor/consulting firm over the last three years.
  • Experience in document management, records management, workflow automation, Microsoft 365 and/or artificial intelligence would be an advantage.
  • Leverage technical skills in Microsoft 365, workflow, XML, javascript, HTML, SQL, cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual infrastructure and more to communicate effectively with customers and their technical teams, build custom demonstrations and resolve technical issues in the demonstration system.
  • Prior experience working in the federal government marketplace and experience with security, regulations, infrastructure and business applications in this market - Baseline Clearance is preferred.
  • Significant experience with providing business analysis, conducting meetings, facilitating workshops and conducting presentations is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communications and coaching skills with the ability to engage people at different levels within an organisation.
