Role Summary:
The Senior Pricing Analyst position within our Pricing and Financial Performance Team, situated at our Perth Forrest Centre, offers an exciting opportunity. As a Senior Pricing Analyst, your expertise in the electricity market and its ongoing reforms will be pivotal in assessing risks and opportunities for the Customer Business Unit (CBU).
Your responsibilities include interpreting market trends to extract insights and refining pricing methodologies, strategies, and portfolio approaches.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Enhance the effectiveness of pricing strategies, portfolio construction and other key commercial levers through in-depth research and analysis of electricity market trends and reforms.
- Provide innovative recommendations to support major commercial decisions through identification and quantification of risks and rewards.
- Engage, educate, and influence internal stakeholders to provide a commercial perspective on energy market issues and dynamics.
- Critically analyse, model, and provide strategic advice to CBU and other relevant BUs on the consequences of the proposed and actual reforms on CBU and customer.
- Ensure pricing governance processes, frameworks and rules are in place and operate effectively. Conduct regular pulse check on the compliance with the pricing processes.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, economics, or related field
- Knowledge and experience in energy market
- Good understanding of pricing and / or risk management concepts to develop and implement strategies and initiatives.
- Extensive experience in a senior analytics or advisory role ideally in complex market pricing setting
- Demonstrated success in communicating with influence.
