Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Lead/Principal Civil Engineer to oversee and advance our civil engineering projects within the utilities and renewable sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading design and implementation processes, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and align with industry standards and environmental guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects.
- Work with external stakeholders to verify and review drawings and designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with technical specifications.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate civil works with electrical and mechanical components.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and participate in the continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil engineering, with a significant focus on utilities or renewable energy projects.
- Ability to obtain or hold CPEng Status and/or RPEQ.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
