SENIOR/ PRINCIPAL HIGHWAYS ENGINEERTIER 1 GLOBAL ENGINEERING COMPANY
5-8 YEARS EXPERIENCE NEEDED (MINIMUM)

LOCATION:

  • AUSTRALIA – HYBRID OPTION AVAILABLE

SALARY:

  • $140,000 – 190,000K (flexible/ depending on experience)

COMPANY INFORMATION/ DUTIES:

Our prestigious client; a Global leader in the Engineering and professional services market. Is looking to add an experienced, proactive, and driven Highways Engineer to their already vastly experienced Infrastructure and Transport division.
You will have a focus on project and/ or design management and be able to own and deliver projects; whilst bringing fresh ideas to enhance and develop your day and those around you. Whilst also leading coordination activities from time to time.
You will have access to the latest technology and have varied support in all the areas needed to complete your job, including planning, design and management.
You will be technically strong and show willingness to develop your career.
  
You will have access to and be supporting some of the most iconic and largest Infrastructure/ Transport projects Australia has to offer.
  
You will be joining a very experienced team and be a huge part of delivering a strong pipeline of varied highway and major road projects across Australia, including interstate and international projects.
  
It is also essential that you are competent in demonstrating your ability in the highways division and using your civil engineering knowledge and experience. It is vital that you are strong in consultative environments, whilst having a strong emphasis on leading the delivery of design projects – including client liaison, quality management, team organizing and ensuring programming and cost control is covered to the best of your ability.
  
You may also be asked to help assist in developing and assisting other team members; so you should be able to show a clear willingness to do this.
  
ESSENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Keen interest in Structural Engineering
  • Technical skills in Structural analysis and design of various types of bridge and transport structures.
  • Ability to produce reports, designs, fee proposals and specifications to meet the clients. desired requirements and high standards.
  • Taking individual and collective responsibility for meeting and working to deadlines.
  • Must be a team player and be able to work on your own/ be self-motivated.
  • Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Must be able to collaborate in a digital environment and always be open to new ideas, suggestions, and ideas from all colleagues.
  • You must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Highways/ Transport – Infrastructure setting.
  •  Relevant industry experience in Project and/or Design Management for complex transport projects within a consulting business environment.
  • Experience with TMR and Austroads design requirements and specifications.
  • Experience delivering and leading projects for key clients, particularly the Department of Transport and Main Roads through planning and delivery stages.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies (including RPEQ and Chartered Status from the Institution of Engineers Australia).
  • You must be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to speak, write and communicate in English to a high standard
  • You MUST be in Australia, with FULL working rights*********
  
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
  • Preferably you will be a Chartered Engineer. If not, you will have the view to and be eligible to become Chartered, with the companies’ support.
  • Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience within design, including detailed design, assessment, inspection and strengthening/ repair of highways/ roads.
  • TMR experience and delivering projects to the highest quality.
