The opportunity
We are currently seeking an Associate Utilities Engineer (Project Lead) with utilities coordination or WSC experience to join the Utilities team in Sydney. You will work on a variety of projects ranging from medium-scale projects to large multi-disciplinary projects.
With a minimum of 10+ years' experience in utilities design on major transport projects, you will play a key role in:
- Developing the group's utilities engineering capability
- Providing design engineering services to the functional groups within NSW as well as support interstate and overseas projects
- Providing utilities coordination support on multi-disciplinary projects
- Developing utilities plans and reports for new infrastructure projects
- Developing a client base and supporting the team in winning work in the area of utility design
- Preparing EOI and proposal submissions.
- Training and mentoring less experienced team members
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
- 10+ years' commercial experience and knowledge of delivering utilities engineering
- Experience of 360-degree project management - across governance, stakeholder management, commercials, timelines, and team/delivery management
- Experience in the co-ordination, design and delivery of projects within multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- Experience using relevant software 12D, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS…
- Familiar with relevant Australian Standards
- Demonstrated ability to provide designs for new infrastructure projects
