About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Principal Strategic Programs joining our Future Water Solutions team. You’ll be part of this newly formed team guiding the business with long term plans to evolve the water service provision into the future. Lead project teams delivering strategic projects and programs across Water Corporation working with senior internal & external stakeholders. The role will be based in our Leederville office and will report to our Head of Future Water Solutions.
What the role will involve
· Lead, manage and deliver complex executive programs and projects to address long-term emerging risks to the provision of water services and delivering robust strategies
· Lead, manage and deliver complex executive programs and projects to realise long term emerging opportunities for new or valorised water services
· Lead activities required to develop master plans (20 years+) providing input into our asset management strategy and direction to asset planning
· Lead interactions with clients and community and executive involvement in programs or projects to identify customer needs, priorities and preferred solutions
· Establish and integrate new methodologies and solution approaches into existing business processes and strategies
· Represent Water Corporation in consultation and negotiations with government agencies, local authorities, industry associations, consultants, developers and other utilities
Key skills and experience
You’ll have a degree level qualification in engineering, project management or relevant discipline, along with extensive experience planning, design, delivery or operational delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure assets. You’ll have substantial knowledge of the challenges and opportunities faced by the water industry through climate change, resource recovery & reuse as well as community expectation.
You’ll also have demonstrated experience in analysis and reporting existing and proposed infrastructure systems to evaluate engineering and economic effectiveness. Your leadership, and ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
