Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role will manage source to contract and post-award procurement activities across a wide variety of goods and services and implement best practice processes, procurement policy, and governance frameworks fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and an organizational framework aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Conduct vendor evaluations, credit limit revisions, and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Develop and implement an appropriate procurement policy, with fit-for-purpose implementation and roll-out.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand procurement needs, forecast demand, and develop sourcing plans.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations, addressing issues, and fostering partnerships for long-term success.
- Streamline and develop listing of approved suppliers and where necessary, identify new suppliers.
- Oversee compliance of the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, track expenses, and analyse spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience within an end-to-end procurement, sourcing, category, or contract specialist position
- Proactive and able to gather all required information from various stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Excellent stakeholder relationship, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
- Related tertiary education and / or CIPS qualifications highly regarded
