We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
• Demonstrated high level skills, knowledge and understanding of government procurement and contract management policies and practices, including ‘go to market' and contract templates.
• Proven experience in government procurement and contract management processes for goods and services (ICT requirements) with a medium to high level of value, risk and complexity; to establish contracts and associated arrangements.
• Demonstrated well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills including the ability to prepare and write high level and complex correspondence, reports and documentation.
• Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to deliver innovative and cost effective procurement outcomes.
• Proven ability to work independently and as an effective member of a multidisciplined team and the ability to supervise and develop other team members.
• Demonstrated capability and experience in managing a significant volume of work in a dynamic environment of competing priorities and agendas.
• A strong commitment to the delivery of quality client service as demonstrated by attitude and behaviour.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
• It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19.
• The incumbent may be required to travel intra-state on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
• Whilst not mandatory, a qualification or formal training in government procurement and contract management practices, law, and/or business management will be highly regarded.
