THE ROLE
The Senior Product Specialist designs reporting products and develops interactive business intelligence and data tools that provide direct access for approved departmental users to performance and service data, including :
* Working collaboratively with program and operational stakeholders to identify requirements for reports and interactive tools.
* Development of data models in close collaboration with data experts to ensure appropriate transformation, use and interpretation of data fields
* Effectively design dashboards, reports and applications that structure and visualise data to support key insights and analysis.
* Planning and delivery of new products, and enhancement of existing reports and tools.
* Documentation and user training and support for interactive tools.
* Close collaboration with all Performance and Analysis teams to ensure reports and tools support business needs, including the needs relating to analysis and reporting.
Applicants should possess expertise in identifying and documenting business and user needs, translating those needs into well-designed reports and effective data tools. They should have experience in building business intelligence and interactive data tools, preferably Power BI or similar. They need the ability to understand source data systems and interpret data in relation to the service context. Applicants need sound project management skills, effective stakeholder management, be highly analytical and strongly collaborative.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
* Plan, manage, and deliver projects to design new reports and develop business intelligence and interactive data tools.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and document business needs and develop products that respond to those needs.
* Develop data models and design proposals for data tools.
