Senior Project Accountant

We are looking for a meticulous and dynamic Senior ProjectAccountant to join our team. This role is crucial in delivering accurate, timely, and efficient accounting, reporting, and financial support to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for financial and management reporting, joint venture support, banking, fixed asset register maintenance, and general finance support.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial and Management Reporting:

• Prepare consolidated monthly accounts for all groups and associated entities in line with AA group accounting policies.
• Assist AA Spain in understanding the monthly group accounts and address any queries.
• Support the Finance Manager in the year-end audit process.
• Prepare monthly group and associate management reports, including KPI and variance analysis.
• Maintain operational and associated company cost tracking, coding, and recording in the general ledger and related systems, including coding for FBT purposes.
• Prepare and maintain group and associate company general ledgers, including journal processing.

Joint Venture Support:

• Ensure compliance with project and joint venture contracts and agreements.
• Prepare and maintain joint venture cost tracking, funding notices, and funding reconciliations.
• Generate monthly management and financial reports for joint venture partners and manage queries.
• Ensure joint venture funding payments are processed timely and by contracts.

Banking:

• Prepare online transactions, including foreign transactions for all group company bank accounts.
• Manage bank account administration, including opening and closing accounts, maintaining online banking supervision, and handling account signatory maintenance.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and cash balance summaries for all group and associate companies.

General Finance Support:

• Issue and ensure prompt collection of group and associate company accounts receivable.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements, manage payments, and track refunds for all group entities.
• Manage ATO-related administrative forms and lodgments.
• Gather information for Australian Business Statistics forms and address queries.
• Assist the Finance Manager in preparing income tax provisions and related compliance.
• Support the Finance Manager in preparing group and associated company budgets and business plans.
• Maintain group and associated company intercompany loan schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience post-degree.
• Postgraduate Accounting qualification.
• Advanced skills in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, MYOB).
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
