About the opportunity
Reporting to the Development Manager within a growing team, you will be responsible for the planning and development of our non-prescribed portfolio including supporting generator connections/modifications, telecommunications, transmission line modifications and other 3rd party driven network modifications.
You will develop complete, accurate, optimised and consistent proposals in compliance with relevant requirements. You will also provide:
- Technical responses to project directors on bids and opportunities, including project scoping activities.
- Option feasibility studies for project opportunities; and
- Detailed design coordination for committed class B projects
Office based role with occasional travel to projects sites (mainly NSW).
About you
- Experience in managing a range of project management activities ideally for transmission line and substation projects including coordination of design, environment, regulatory approvals and stakeholder engagement activities
- Ability to identify key issues and alternatives across the areas of design, environmental assessment, and construction.
- Experience in the development of project programs and cost estimates for projects.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and Government policy guidelines, which govern safety, engineering design, environmental assessment for the implementation of engineering projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills to provide specialist technical advice
- Tertiary qualification at degree level in an appropriate engineering discipline
