Our client specializes in providing industrial remediation services and asset preservation solutions across various industries including infrastructure, mining, marine, defense, and commercial sectors. They are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join their defense solutions team at their Adelaide office.
About the role:
- Responsible for weekly budget reporting, procurement, client interaction, labor coordination, development and execution of project documentation, quality assurance/control, as well as organizing work fronts and project planning.
- Provide support and guidance for projects, ensuring their successful delivery in accordance with industry best practices, client standards, and agreed-upon objectives and business advantages.
- Develop project documentation, including plans, Gantt charts, and specifications.
- Maintain daily communication with Site Supervisors, Project Managers, and other project stakeholders, offering technical assistance and support as needed.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects.
- Manage all project components, including QA/QC, logistics, reporting, compliance, subcontractor oversight, equipment management, supplies, and project administration.
- Facilitate the timely and efficient distribution of project materials and support by overseeing administrative tasks such as project briefs, scheduling, action logs, budget management, and project performance tracking.
Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience or above in Asset Remediation, Infrastructure, or Defense environments.
- Degree holder in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proactive and professional Project Engineer with demonstrated proficiency in communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and operational staff.
- Experience in monitoring and managing budgets.
- Possesses technical expertise in coatings, surface preparation, hazardous substances management, and application processes.
- Familiarity with Quality systems, including progression, ITPs, and QA/QC liaison.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.
