Form of workSenior Project Engineer As a result of Georgiou's significant growth we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with strong earthworks/roads experience to join our Engineering and infrastructure team. The successful candidate will have prior civil construction experience within an earthworks environment and will display strong technical skills in all elements of civil engineering.
The role is initially for our Quindanning project, and thereafter resource project up north FIFO 2/1 roster. Permanent role. Please see details below; Quindanning scope of work there/value of works: Building a arch tunnel over Pinjarra Williams road with a haul rod over the top.
A section of Pinjarra Williams road are being upgraded as well. The project value is circa 20M and the successful candidate will be part of a team consisting on one SPE and two SE. Expected PC date there: July 2024, thereafter other resource projects up north FIFOHours of work: Normal project hours 6:45 to 5:15pm on a 10/4 rosterAttractive Site uplift - 35% Accommodation is supplied at Quindanning
You will be trusted to:
- Scope, prepare short term (4 weekly or as otherwise directed) look ahead programs, and provides input into the project schedule, status of works and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and report on project progresses and maintain our contractual schedule/program,
- Monitor and review the project task financial outcomes, including overseeing project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls to ensure project targets are optimised
- Provide daily support, team supervision and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company set performance criteria
- Supervise the daily contract administration requirements and collaborate in the negotiation and control of subcontractor and supply agreements.
What you're good at:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry in an earthworks environment
- Able to demonstrate daily productivity and cost control skills and prior forecasting experience
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for site works
- Attends to the scope of work assigned with defined work methods and delivers the work in accordance with total project schedule.
- Prepares short term (4 weekly or as otherwise directed) look ahead programs, and provides input into the project schedule, status of works and reporting requirements.
- Experience in coordinating and/or running tool box meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders concerns
- Experience of guiding and leading other engineers
