The Opportunity
A full-time role for a Senior Project Engineer involving an initial 12+ month secondment to a top-tier Oil & Gas client, responsible for managing onshore pipeline projects for new gas tiebacks into the existing gas plants. Acting as the client representative, you will also be responsible for managing engineering contractors, procurement and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery of project management solutions that exceed client expectations.
- Forge and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including client representatives.
- Design comprehensive work plans that clearly outline and sequence delivery activities.
- Skilfully interpret and understand engineering drawings.
- Assess and determine necessary resource requirements.
- Capture and manage project variations within authorized levels or provide strategic advice to management as needed.
- 7-10 years of experience in a similar Project Management / Project Engineering role within the Oil & Gas industry - Onshore Pipeline experience is highly desirable but not mandatory. Experience in Upstream Oil & Gas is also acceptable.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical (preferred) or Chemical Engineering.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
- Excel at multitasking and thrive on working on various projects simultaneously.
