Role description:
We are looking for a Senior Structural Project Engineer with major infrastructure project experience to join our team. This role will see you overseeing day-to-day management of the team on site.
Role accountabilities:
- The overall role of the team is that of Contract Administrator and Construction Verifier;
- Supervise surveillance officers who undertake on-site inspections, ensuring a high quality of work
- On-going surveillance of work practices and ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality procedures
- Identify and investigate non-conformances, ensuring appropriate measures are implemented to prevent reoccurrence
- Compiling reports, responding to RFI's, and other records management including project registers
- Review and verification of quality records in accordance with contractual obligations and compliance
- Provide guidance and training to on-site project teams and ensure they have a sound understanding of the quality requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and embrace the values of a strong safety culture. You are a tertiary qualified civil and structural engineer and RPEQ with site-based experience on complex infrastructure projects and come to us with:
- An understanding of the highways and bridges construction industry and projects with experience in civil construction, structural engineering, and an understanding of the interaction of these aspects of construction with existing heavy and light rail management
- Demonstrated knowledge of TMR standards
- Award of TMR Pre-Qualification to Levels SEC02 & SU03
- Well-rounded communication skills and the ability to modify your approach to achieve positive outcomes with various stakeholder groups including clients and contractors
- Proficiency in contracts administration, project management and delivery of technical reports
- An approachable leadership style and the ability to proactively participate in project teams
