Position Overview:
We currently have a number of opportunities for Senior Project Engineers to join our Queensland team. We are interested in candidates who have experience working on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects including road works, earthworks, drainage and structures projects. Candidates must have a sound working knowledge of the Queensland construction industry including a demonstrated track record of successfully completing road infrastructure projects for Transport and Main Roads (TMR). Reporting to the Project Manager, you will actively assist in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring and promoting safety in all aspects of the works
- Provide engineering and technical advice to the project team
- Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring quality requirements are being met
- Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants and related key stakeholders
- Programming and planning of the works
- Preparing monthly financial reports including cost to complete forecasts
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
- An excellent track record delivering a range of civil infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with TMR specifications and Quality Management Systems
- Experience in a similar role
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial acumen and technical expertise
