Senior Project Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer from a civil background to assist on a pipeline of projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. You will play a key role in the success of our projects by conducting technical discussion, long-term planning, budgeting and finances, and liaising with the senior representatives of our clients.

Your main duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Liaise with clients on tender queries, and design, construction and contract issues,
• Liaise and brief subcontractors on construction plans and delegate responsibilities,
• Review tender documents and preliminary designs for alternative solutions,
• Prepare cash flow budgets and reconciliations,
• Proactively provide input in support of the company in its maintenance of a safe workplace,
• Manage information and conduct appropriate monitoring and reporting duties. 

You will have: 

• Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar site-based role with experience in delivery of earthworks projects,
• Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction management or similar field,
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications,
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and a genuine concern for health, safety and the environment,
• Developed analytical and problem-solving skills while adhering to deadlines,
• Team player mindset with the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships,
• Competent in the use of planning software such as MS Project, P6 and Pronto.
