The Position:
The Senior Project Engineer (S.P.E.) will primarily be responsible for managing services and engineering support to projects and for ensuring Nathan Contractors complies with its contractual responsibilities. This is a leadership role and a potential pathway to a senior role as Project Manager.
What we are looking for:
As the Senior Project Engineer, you'll hold the reins of structural excellence, safety assurance, and the flawless execution of projects that involve temporary works, formwork, reo, and concrete pouring. The role demands above average analytical and communication skills and an ability to work between projects, to coordinate with Project Managers and liaise with senior staff across the company.
- Temporary works design and management.
- Construction planning support and works methodologies development.
- Time management: program tracking, delay notifications and EOT claims.
- Scope management: scope change and variation notifications and pricing.
- Budget management: budget tracking and reporting.
- Quality compliance and reporting
- Progress claims compilation and client certifications.
- Contract and sub-contacts administration in general.
- Support a team of site-based engineers with advice, mentoring and training.

- It is envisaged the person will have at least five years on-site experience with a mid-size civil contractor, with a majority of that experience being in complex structural concrete works.
- A degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
- Post-graduate training in contracts and financial management will be an advantage.
- The role is Brisbane based, with regular site visits required to support project teams.
