Senior Project Engineer

Role:
Alchemy Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a reputable Civil Contractor who operates across SEQ on a diverse range of projects including infrastructure, rail, water, urban & renewables. We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join their Water Treatment Project based in Brisbane as the Principal contractor on the project. Experienced Project Engineers are also encouraged to apply for the chance to step into a more senior role and progress their career.  
  
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a significant Water Treatment Plant. Exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of essential infrastructure that will positively impact the Brisbane community for years to come.

• Oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and provide technical expertise to resolve any engineering challenges that may arise.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule, and report on key metrics to the project team.
• Prepare accurate reports, progress updates, and documentation to keep stakeholders informed and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contractual obligations.

Skills & experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years experience on Civil Infrastructure projects
• Main roads, earthworks and utilities experience advantageous
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in management software
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to completion
