About the role:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Senior Project Engineer to provide high quality project planning and management services to support Council’s delivery of its Capital Works Program, including many grant funded projects with tight funding and timeframe constraints. You will have strong skills in the preparation of contract plans, specifications and quotation and tender documents and experience in local government tender processes and project management and provision of accurate and timely reports for Council and Grant reporting. You will also provide advice and support to senior Engineering and Assets staff regarding capital program planning and asset management.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Degree in Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
Extensive Project Management experience of civil engineering works, including preparing accurate and detailed project plans and cost estimates with strong ability to interpret detailed plans.
Significant experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and tender documentation for civil engineering construction work, and in the administration of contracts and monitoring of consultants and contractors
Experience in the preparation and application of asset management plans, capital works programs and maintenance programs for local government assets
Knowledge and application of Work Health and Safety principles, risk management practices and techniques.
Class C Driver’s Licence.

We offer:
Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
Annual salary from $93,527.20 to $110,229.60 (depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
plus 10.5% superannuation
