Join us as Senior Project Manager for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be leading the execution of medium size to large and moderately complex projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. Reporting to Head of Project Management this position will be based in any one of these locations - Fortitude Valley QLD, Notting Hill VIC or Moorebank NSW, Australia.

Your responsibilities

• Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals
• Defining jointly with Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, project financials, project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow
• Ensuring that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed
• Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer
• Coordinating with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures all required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers
• Acting as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders
• Ensuring the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies

Your background

• Engineering degree in any discipline with 10 years of experience in Project Management in Industrial Automation or Electrical area
• High level written and oral communication skills including negotiation, presentation (both written and oral) skills and the ability to communicate complex data and information
• Demonstrated experience in management of scope, cost, schedules, and vendors/subcontractors in varied contract arrangements
• Strong Contractual knowledge and project management qualification/Certification (Prince / PMBOK, PMP)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team, and to deliver high quality outputs in a timely manner
• Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities and excellent time management, analytical and problem-solving
• Demonstrated experience in management of scope, cost, schedules, and vendors/subcontractors in varied contract arrangements
