Senior Project Manager

Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join our team to oversee a significant project located in Turkey, involving the development of a promising gold/copper deposit. This position is based in Brisbane, with frequent travel required to the project site in Turkey.

About the role

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Monitor project performance metrics and take proactive measures to address any deviations from established targets.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage stakeholder communications and foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide timely progress reports to Senior Management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies.

About You

• A bachelor's degree in, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• A proven track record within project management roles within the mining or EPCM industry, with experience in gold and copper deposits preferred.
• Strong technical background with expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in multicultural environments, preferably within international settings.
• Familiarity with Turkish regulatory requirements and cultural dynamics is advantageous.
• PMP or Prince2 certification is desirable.
