Role Overview: As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing custom home construction projects from the Pre-Admin Complete phase to the end of the 90-day maintenance period. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end project delivery process, including Pre-PAC to ACC Construction phases, in alignment with the policies and procedures.
- Customer Relationship Management: Proactively engage with clients, providing timely updates and addressing queries, to ensure clear communication and satisfaction.
- Tender Process Assistance: Collaborate with Building Consultants and General Manager - Operations and Sales to raise Purchase Orders for approved items.
- Site Preparation: Review site conditions and regulatory considerations, providing essential support to Building Consultants.
- Construction Administration: Coordinate the administration of project files during the construction phase, issuing invoices for stage claims and variations.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest quality standards by ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining customer sign-offs, and adhering to quality policies.
- Budget Management: Identify potential cost-effective alternatives to align with customer budgets, raise Purchase Orders, and approve invoices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with stakeholders internally (Operations Manager, Project Managers, Construction Manager) and externally (Customers, Councils, Trades, Suppliers, Consultants).
- Safety and Compliance: Prioritise safety in all activities, complying with WH&S policies and procedures, and identifying and addressing unsafe conditions.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Project Management role within the custom-building industry or similar.
- Proficiency in project management and a strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and terminology.
- Ability to read architectural/engineering plans and collaborate on issue resolution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Building/Construction Management qualification or related (minimum Cert IV) and/or trade qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project (preferred), and Nexvia or similar (preferred).
