About the role:
We have a 24 months fixed term opportunity for a Senior Project Manager OT to manage significant and moderately complex capital projects to create new engineering assets that satisfy the operational objectives and are on time, to budget, and within technical and OSH, Environmental and Quality standards. You'll work independently on multiple projects and engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders and customers.

Key Skills & experience:
There are a few things that we'll look for in your CV; Degree or tertiary level qualification in engineering, project management or relevant discipline Understand water utilities processes or control systems operating a water utility Experience in leading and supporting teams through project work Substantial experience in and advanced knowledge of a Project Manager role in providing engineering project management services, demonstrated as experience in and advanced knowledge of: Managing all phases of asset creation projects Tendering and contract award processes, Contract administration, Supervising an engineering planning / design / investigation / construction team
What the role will involve
Lead multi-functional project teams through the Asset Acquisition Process and coordinate the scoping, design, construction, commissioning and transfer of new assets and close out of engineering projects ensuring lessons learnt are incorporated into the delivery of projects. Deliver the project in accordance with the Branch's Project Management Procedures and OSH, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. Monitor, control, review and forecast projects outcomes including time, cost and quality. Ensure project risks are captured, mitigation measures are in place and monitor and report on their effectiveness ensuring that issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Negotiate and establish contracts based on the AS4000 standards to procure services, equipment and works to achieve project objectives. Coordinate the preparation of bid documents for projects Coaching and mentoring new PMs for best practises in project management
