ABOUT THE ROLE…

The Project Manager role is responsible for assisting in the defining of various operational project scopes, timelines, and deliverables while monitoring progress and identifying potential risks. This includes the tracking of tasks, facilitating meetings, and maintaining documentation and reporting to ensure successful project outcomes while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES…

• Provide leadership and mentorship to fellow Project Managers addressing interdependencies for cohesive project execution. Maintain a holistic view of all the projects within the Business Unit, ensuring alignment with organisational goal.
• Lead efforts to uplift the Agile culture within the business unit & champion Agile best practices resulting increase in team velocity & efficiency.
• Defining objectives, scope, deliverables for project planning and management. Facilitating agile ceremonies and processes including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, estimation and team showcases.
• Managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications. Organising and leading project working meetings.
• Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
• Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality from the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and champion the use of agreed processes within one or more teams across the organisation.
• Participate in Agile project management community of practice to further the adoption and effective use of Agile project management principle across the technology organisation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• A proven track record of successfully implementing Platform Engineering & DevOps projects using Agile methodologies including 5+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager managing large.
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Kanban/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
• Experience managing multiple cross functional Agile teams. These teams consist of Solution Architects, DevOps Architects, Cloud Engineers, Software Engineers, BA, & Data Analysts.
• Proven experience in running and delivering projects related to Platform Engineering & improvements.

Balanced business/technical background:

• Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
• Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
• Know-how of at least one cloud ecosystem i.e., Azure, AWS or GCPKnow-how to use at least one cloud ecosystem i.e., Azure, AWS or GCP
