Job Description:
As a Senior Project Manager at Stronach Property, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of our projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including procurement, design management, interface with authorities, cost management, time management, quality management, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Develop tender documents for consultants and contractors.
- Assess responses and lead the process of awarding contracts.
Design Management:
- Prepare comprehensive consultant briefs.
- Coordinate consultants and ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Resolve design issues efficiently to maintain project progress.
Interface with Relevant Authorities:
- Liaise with relevant authorities during detailed design and construction phases, including but not limited to Council, Ausgrid, Hunter Water, NBN, Subsidence Advisory, and Heritage organisations.
Cost Management:
- Review project budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
- Handle claims, variations, and process payments in a timely manner.
Time Management:
- Prepare, monitor, and report on project schedules and programmes.
- Review and assess time-related claims to maintain project timelines.
Quality Management:
- Monitor the quality of construction and finishes to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
Risk Management:
- Identify, document, and monitor project risks.
- Develop effective strategies to mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in property development or construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Class 2 multi-unit residential apartment buildings.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, design management, cost management, time management, quality management, and risk management.
- Extensive background in managing projects involving Class 2 multi-unit residential apartment buildings.
Robust understanding of the NSW Development and Building Practitioners Act (DBP Act). - Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
