Role Description:
The Project Manager leads stakeholders in delivering Strategic Capital and Major Periodic Maintenance projects in the Operational Technology Unit. They ensure project objectives are met within budget, time, safety, and quality standards. The role ensures technology aligns with business needs and realizes project benefits.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the project(s) in accordance with Project Management Methodology and standard operating procedures in place.
- Manage assigned projects from inception to completion within time and budget constraints, ensuring work is completed to an acceptable standard;
- Manage customer expectations regarding deliverables by preparing a project plan prior to each project and by providing regular feedback through meetings, etc. to assist in ensuring that these expectation are
realized; - Prepare costing and quoting for service requests with the assistance from key Subject Matter Experts with
the ability to negotiate. - Prepare monthly cash flow status and production management reports for current projects in order to monitor expenditure and production against scope
- Skills and experience required:
- Hold Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Engineering discipline with demonstrated experience in Project Management Methodologies, such as ‘PMBok’ or ’Prince’ principals, or similar;
- This position requires a current Class C Drivers License
- Knowledge of System Engineering cycle and experience delivering projects related to the integration of technologies.
- Experience in document and specification preparation, to contribute to the tendering process, including costing projects and preparing budgets.
- Demonstrated experience in the successful management and delivery of single and multi-disciplined medium complexity projects;
- Developed high level interpersonal skills with developed client relationship and negotiation experience for the capacity to influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to lead negotiations, manage a contract and build a customer vendor relationship
- High level conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to apply them in the management of technology-driven projects with proficiency in the use of computer software packages, including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Visio.
