Make a difference in our community!This position is part of a newly created Property and Portfolio Development Department at the City of Whittlesea. The Senior Project Manager (Portfolio Development) is responsible for leading the development of the Strategic Property and Portfolio Plan, which in turn will define a pipeline of mixed use development projects which deliver for the community and are commercially feasible, well designed and sustainable. The role will lead an expert team to scope, develop and deliver mixed use development projects for Council across the municipality, with a focus on optimising Council land and delivery of community infrastructure. This role will work across Council, with external Government departments and private sector partners to scope requirements, define the briefs and development concepts, enable agreements, establish efficient and effective delivery models and deliver a pipeline of projects in one of the fastest growing municipalities in Victoria.About you
You will apply your property and land development, strategic planning and stakeholder management experience and expertise to optimise Council's land portfolio and grow the property development function in the organisation. You will apply commercial acumen to optimise the best outcomes for our community, and deliver on Council’s vision and strategies. You will have experience leading and developing small expert teams to deliver a significant program of complex projects. To be successful in this role you will have the ability to build strong enduring relationships with public and private sector stakeholders to allow you to deal with a broad range of expectations and clients needs that are often of a competing nature. The role requires both strategic planning knowledge as well as advanced project management capabilities for project excellence.
