We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee one of our major SMPEI projects in the Goldfields with a view to managing projects of similar size and complexity on an ongoing basis.
Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders- Ensures project execution in accordance with the contract, inclusive of reporting, documentation, and contract management.
- Oversee and manage the project progress and ensuring the project meets the required contractual deadlines.
- Prepare / complete / update and track the project list in a timely manner.
- Assist with review of technical queries, focused on practical solutions and ease of response.
- Procure and purchase all material and subcontracts as required and authorise the payments of correct invoices.
- Determine project risks and plan contingencies accordingly.
- Approve major and significant procurement packages in accordance with the Register of Delegated Authorities.
- Manage the sourcing, recruitment, de-manning and co-ordination of staff, personnel, equipment, and internal resources as required.
- Ensure completion of job cost reports and forecasts for the finance department by end of month.
- Ensure preparation and submission of progress claims in accordance with contract requirements.
- Oversee and assist with the identification, preparation, administration, and negotiation of contract variations and claims as per the contract.
- Conduct weekly progress meetings ensuring all aspects of the project are clearly understood by all relevant personnel.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the estimating department on the project successes and challenges.
- Minimum of 10 years Project Management experience in industrial construction projects, preferably from a SMPEI Construction background.
- Engineering / Project Management qualifications or Trade Background with practical or comparable experience.
- Proven track record in the successfully delivering large SMPEI projects
