Are you an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a strong background in delivering Water Infrastructure projects looking to make more a difference environmentally? Join this well-known and respected consultancy in Newcastle and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of water infrastructure and renewable energy in the region. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead a project management team and deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to current and future clients.
About the role:
Lead the planning, design, and delivery of Water Infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule.
Oversee all aspects of project execution, including procurement, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and quality control.
Manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment while providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to define project objectives, develop project plans, and establish effective communication channels.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging industry best practices, emerging technologies, and sustainable design principles.
Provide regular project updates and reports to clients, senior management, and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Candidate requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree would be advantageous.
Proven track record of successfully managing Water Infrastructure projects, preferably in the Hunter region.
Extensive experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Sound knowledge of water infrastructure systems, including pipelines, water treatment plants, STP's, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental sustainability practices.
Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 would be highly regarded.
