Are you an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a strong background in delivering Water Infrastructure projects looking to make more a difference environmentally? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead a project management team and deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to current and future clients.
About the role:
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of Water Infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Oversee all aspects of project execution, including procurement, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and quality control.
- Manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment while providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to define project objectives, develop project plans, and establish effective communication channels.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging industry best practices, emerging technologies, and sustainable design principles.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to clients, senior management, and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Candidate requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of successfully managing Water Infrastructure projects, preferably in the Hunter region.
- Extensive experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Sound knowledge of water infrastructure systems, including pipelines, water treatment plants, STP's, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental sustainability practices.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 would be highly regarded.
