Our client, a federal agency, is looking for an APS6 Project officer to join their Aged Care and Hospital Interface team in Midland. They are dedicated to supporting those at risk of entering Aged Care under 65 years and those ready for hospital discharge but with barriers to doing so. Position Description: The APS6 Project Officer will be required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. This is a team leadership position. Pay rate: $60.26 p/h + Super Short term role: 7 months with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project plans and schedules in alignment with the Agency's project management framework.
Provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making.
Conduct independent research and analysis, preparing draft reports on relevant project activities to inform strategic initiatives.
Coordinate regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports, to ensure transparency and accountability.
Prepare draft written material, including business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation, adhering to organizational standards.
Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure, and assist with procurement and contract management processes.
Identify and manage project risks, issues, and benefits, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Contribute to project quality management, ensuring deliverables are fit for purpose and meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.
Key skills required for this role:
Previous experience working within interfaces such as: health, justice, or child protection.
Previous experience writing business cases, plans, executive
Desirable skills for the role:
Experience working within the disability sector
Experience undertaking research and analysis in a related area
Experience working in a virtual project teams
