HOPE has been a community service in Western Australia for over a century, providing much needed support to people affected by alcohol and other drugs, mental ill-health, youth justice issues and socioeconomic disadvantage.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Projects Officer to join the Impact and Innovation team! The position is full time, fixed term working Monday to Friday.
About the Opportunity
The Senior Projects Officer is responsible for supporting the Project Manager and the greater HOPE team in the delivery of a portfolio of projects that grow and support the HOPE business. Projects the Senior Project Officer will be involved in can include:
- Tender or grant submissions
- Development of new processes or procedures
- Specialist projects
- Events
- New service implementation
- New service development
This position also enables the project management capability of HOPE by:
- Supporting in delivery of training in project management to staff.
- Supporting in development and maintenance of the HOPE Project Management Framework.
- Supporting in development and maintenance the HOPE Guidelines for Project Management.
- Supporting in the maintenance of the corporate Project Management software.
About you:
- A bachelor’s degree in health, social work, mental health services, business or related fields (Health Promotion, Psychology, Social Work or similar)
- Experience working in the human services sector.
- Demonstrated experience in project management.
- Demonstrated skills in the following areas:
- Strategic and problem solving skills
- Adaptability and work under pressure
- Tender and grant writing skills
- Research and analysis
Desirable Criteria:
- Project Management accreditation and or qualification.
- Current knowledge of best practice in AOD, Mental Health, FDV and Youth Justice programs.
- Experience working with First Nations, CALD communities,
Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check (within 3 months), Department of Justice clearance, Working With Children card, Current C or A class driver's license, and suitable work referees.
