Senior Project Officer, Communications Focus

• Senior Project Officer required to support coordinate communications, stakeholder engagement and implementation at the Centre of Research Excellence

• Part time (0.6 – 0.8 FTE negotiable) fixed term for 2 years at Camperdown Campus (hybrid)

• Base Salary $104,633 - $113,992 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists to join the vibrant Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis (CRE-PF) team as a Senior Project Officer, Communications Focus. You will be closely working with Professor Tamera Corte and a diverse team including chief investigators, collaborators and consumers around Australia.

The Senior Project Officer, Communications Focus, provides project management advice and support in coordinating the communications, implementation and delivery of a broad range of activities and tasks in order to meet objectives of the CRE-PF. Responsible for providing project management support to multiple work streams within the Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis, including establishing, developing and implementing project plans; ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork and preparing status reports in line with broader CRE-PF requirements. A key focus for the incumbent will be to ensure effective communications and engagement with stakeholders.

• Have a a degree in a relevant field or equivalent skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience with research communications, website administration and social media management will be advantageous

• proven organisational skills with excellent communication and proven stakeholder management

• demonstrated high-level ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work

• excellent interpersonal skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters.

• proven attention to detail, planning, analysis and administrative skills together with the ability to work according to strict deadlines and coordinate with various demands.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
