Senior Project Officers (X3)

Are you ready for a challenge that merges your project management experience and professional excellence? The Northern Land Council (NLC) has multiple vacancies for Senior Project Officers (SPO) within its Resources and Energy Team.

• Location: Darwin.
• Status: Full-time Ongoing.

About the RoleAs a SPO, you will be overseeing multiple projects within the resources and energy portfolio. You will be responsible for consulting with Traditional Owners about resource projects and ensuring that they are fully informed of any proposals and that their rights are fully protected. You will drive technical assessments, manage contracts, engage with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with the Aboriginal Land Rights Act (NT) 1976 (ALRA) and the Native Title Act 1993 (NTA), making a substantial impact on resource development while championing Aboriginal rights and interests.What you will Bring:

• Working knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation affecting Aboriginal land and sea management including ALRA and the NTA.
• Proven experience in consultation, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and mediation techniques and practices.
• High level cross cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient ICT literacy skills including familiarity with Content Management Systems, Microsoft Office 365 and associated software.

In addition to this, you will have:

• A degree in a relevant discipline such as Geology, Engineering, Sociology, Anthropology, business or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar role, including project management.
• Previous experience in at least one of these sectors: onshore petroleum; energy and /or minerals is a plus.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence and the ability to travel remotely via 4wd and light aircraft.

• These positions are classified under our Enterprise Agreement from:
• Senior Officer Grade C (SOGC) with a commencing base salary of $95,110 per annum to Senior Officer Grade B (SOGB), with a commencing base salary of $106,708 per annum..

In addition to base salary, you will receive:

• 14% superannuation.
• District allowance starting at $2,539 per annum.
• Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,724.
• Generous leave entitlements such as 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave, and paid Christmas close down.
• Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 and additional Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
