The Role & The Team:

Our OneSKY and Aerospace team are building Australia’s new advanced air traffic management system, redesigning our skies, supporting aerodrome expansion, and taking advantage of the latest technologies to optimise the safe and efficient use of airspace. 

As the Senior Project Planner, reporting to Planning and Project Controls, and working as part of a joint team comprising Airservices and Department of Defence personnel, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, analysing, consulting, monitoring, and reporting on project and program plan and schedules in accordance with the P3M framework. You will maintain project and program plans across all aspects of the One SKY Program. You support the implement and mature the Planning and Project Controls practices ensuring that in addition to the One SKY Program internal delivery, all contractor schedules, earned value and reporting data is analysed and considered in with recommendations made to inform delivery constraints.

You will form an integral part of the One SKY Australia Program team; be high-performing and accountable; and continue to deliver Airservices record of safety, environmental, WHS, risk and compliance excellence.

The Person

The successful applicant will have:

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of planning, scheduling, project controls and earned value management principles, processes, and application.
• A relevant qualification would be viewed favourably.
• Experience undertaking quantitative and qualitative analysis of schedule and earned value performance in complex projects / programs and generating succinct and insightful written reports addressing complex information and options.
• Ability to draw insight and analyses from complex contractor schedules and earned value management reporting.
• A strong understanding of Risk Management principles including risk identification, management, and control effectiveness.
• Experience in delivering projects and program in an AUSDEFCON contracting environment.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills – including a proven ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to lead planning forums or workshops, involving experienced project / program managers as customer, including the ability to influence, negotiate and establish a rapport with key internal and external stakeholders and drive outcomes.
• Strong presentation skills and experience in coaching and training program / project managers and teams in planning and project controls concepts and their practical application will be considered favourable.
• Experience in working with different organisational cultures and in geographically dispersed programs will be considered desirable.
