Project descriptionWe are looking for experienced senior functional testers for a significantly large multi-million-dollar program for a Tier 1 banking client based in Australia. There are a number of projects as part of the build out of Treasury function which require highly experienced testers in the domain with sound data analysis skills.
Responsibilities- The successful candidate will fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Participate in requirements analysis, understand details of the requirement and required validation/success criteria.
- Design and execute detailed and comprehensive user test cases to validate technical data-based solutions to the requirement.
- Coordinate with and educate developers on test results, explaining the gaps in validating the requirements, what changes must be made in the software and why, their relative criticality and prioritization for go-live.
- Engage users and business / stakeholders providing appropriate test results, explaining why they validate original requirements and resolving any gaps in understanding.
- Improve existing software
- Develop quality documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Resolution of assigned tasks in a timely fashion and escalation where necessary.
- Maintain and follow appropriate standards.
SKILLSMust have- 5+ years of experience in designing test cases for functionally rich and complex applications.
- Capital Markets experience is Mandatory
- Familiarity with data structures, SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Excellent understanding of financial products in general and treasury functions in particular such as balance sheet management, liquidity, NSFR, banking book risk, interest rate risk, transfer pricing etc and their relevant data attributes/flows and transformations.
- Strong track record of writing functional and regression test suites in a financial services organization.
- Good communication skills. Must be able to understand requirements and explain solutions, test scripts and results to business stakeholders and the team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Able to investigate, analyze and troubleshoot tasks.
