Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people

Roster: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation and maintain conformance to the Quality Management framework.
  • Establish Project level Quality strategic planning, implementation, guidance, and support through to Project completion and closeout. (End to End).
  • Collaborate with Engineering disciplines to establish technical Quality requirements as part of Front End Loading (FEL) activities for equipment and material packages, in accordance with industry standards i.e. AS, API, ASME, IEC, ISO and local/country regulatory requirements enabling license to operate.
  • Review and interpret technical data/drawings/documents/records as part of supplier/contractor deliverables and traceability obligations.
  • Identification, review and approval of Contractor and Supplier technical Quality Deliverables and against specified technical requirements.
  • Undertake tender/bid evaluations, provide advice and guidance on level of confidence, actions to mitigate potential gaps and risks to the project scope.
  • Plan & conduct Project Quality Audits and reporting in accordance with Project and Business Unit requirements and ensure any identified corrective actions are effectively implemented.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Engineering or trade (Installation, construction, commissioning)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience 
  • Experience providing quality support (implementation and maintenance) throughout Engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start up projects. (i.e. EP, EPC, EPCM, CM). Oil and Gas, Energy, Resources.
  • Interpretation and understand of engineering and industry standards, i.e. AS, API, ASME, IEC, ISO
  • Facilitating risk-based Quality assessment (Project, Materials, Equipment packages)
  • Material and Equipment Quality inspection experience. (Including Acceptance Testing)
  • Experience working with OEM providers and Teir one Contractors. 
  • High level written skills with excellent attention to detail. 
  • High level of passion for renewable energy. 
  • Proven ability for credible and authentic engagement with strong interpersonal skills.
